I am valiantly trying to stay away from the vending machine at work. Who's bloody bright idea was it to install that? Utter, utter, fucking horrible bastards. I can go days without chocolate if I'm at home, but at work I seem to be constantly hungry for chocolate. Sometimes I don't even want it, but it's like I'm possessed. I buy it anyway and eat it and feel horrible and guilty for ages.
I'm not particularly overweight, but could do with losing a stone and a half (21lbs) to get to my ideal weight. I'm not against eating sweets, and I'm not into deprivation. When I think about it logically, I would much prefer to forego my daily choccy bar from the machine and have some lovely ice-cream at the weekend.
SO WHY CAN'T I STOP EATING IT?!
I have not had any since yesterday, I am very proud of myself. Hopefully I can keep it up.
I have a masterplan anyway, which is helping me stick to my goals for once. Me and Mr.102 are planning on trying for a baby in about a year/18 months time, and I want to be as healthy as I can be. Rather than just focusing on losing weight, I am focusing on getting fit instead, and weight loss will be a lovely side effect.
So....I need to keep thinking about the lovely baby I will hopefully have sometime in 2010 and how healthy and fit and happy I will be.
This made no sense, but I had to get my vending machine frustration out.
Fucking, fucking bastard who bought it. I hate whoever it was that decided that.
Sorry about the swearing!

SO True. The only place I have any willpower at all is at the store. If I get home and haven't bought any choclate, then I can't eat it no matter how much I want it. Working at a place with vending machines is awful because you can never get away from wanting it and it's right there in your face all day long. I hate it.
I hate that kind of thing. I try not to bring any money to work. Even though I then beg my friends to lend me a dollar. And then, my students come into my classroom selling candy and those giant muffins that are as big as your head.
I agree that the best way to do it is focusing on getting healthy.
