I realise this is completely trivial, but whatever.
I got into work today and washed up my mug and my glass in the kitchen (skanky old me left them on friday and they were gross!). I got distracted by my cup of tea and forgot to take my glass back to my office with me. I went back FIVE minutes later and it had GONE! Who would nick a glass? There are plastic cups if you don't have your own glass, and the only real glasses are people's own ones.
My cold is still lingering tho, so hopefully I didn't wash off all the germs. The scoundrel can have my lurgies, bastard.
People will take anything in this office, it's very annoying. On one hand, I get all self righteous about my milk, or teabags, or glass or something being used without permission, and then on the other I am annoyed that I am annoyed about something so stupid.
In other news:
WHY does my colleague feel the need to discuss with the office (there are 4 of us in here) her problem with piles? I have had this all morning. She has already told us it hurts, that her boyfriend had a look and what it looks like, she has gone to the shops to buy the cream and has shown us the special pokey thing to put the cream up her bum (unused apparently) and now I have learned that she needs a poo but is scared it will hurt.
Honestly, why is she telling us this? I barely know her, but now I know things about her that I never, ever wanted to know about anyone. I wouldn't want to hear that my boyfriend had piles, let alone some weirdo at work.
I feel ill.

I just have to say that I find British lingo so funny! I have no idea what piles are - but I get the gist. Nor have I ever heard the words niggles or lurgies. It just makes me giggle like a dorky American. I totally want to visit there now. At least you don't hate us like those obnoxious French do. England rocks!
Um, she's talking about her piles? Really? I would have a hard time talking to my hubby about it, much less strangers. In general, I find talking about your bum is a no-no at work.
c32 - england does rock! you should definitely visit, its a very under-rated country. parts of it are really beautiful and the people are pretty nice too :) piles are haemarrhoids btw
csuper - haha! i think its definitely something to keep to yourself!
